I was so saddened to learn that Bryant had passed!  He was such a kind person.  I will miss his smile and wave as I go through the gate at Lake Jovita!  Sending prayers to his family, coworkers and friends as you begin this new chapter of your lives without Bryant!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Deese family. We will miss seeing him at the gates of Lake Jovita. He always had a smile and a wave.  He was a staple of our neighborhood for so long - it won’t be the same coming home without him there.

So sad to hear the loss of Mr. Eugene. I always looked forward to seeing him at the gate at Lake Jovita. He never allowed you to leave without putting a smile on your face. He will be truly missed by all of Lake Jovita residents. Heaven gained one beautiful angel!

Our deepest condolences to the Deese family. Eugene was a very thoughtful and kind person.  I got my reflective lights at his insistence.  He would always stop during his roving patrols to say Hello & made sure I was safe during my walks in the evening. It'll be strange not seeing him around the Lake Jovita community and will miss his presence.

To All The Deese Family-  What a blessing to have a man like "Captain" in your family. As a frequent, family visitor to Lake Jovita, we shared many waves, smiles and quick stories at the gate!  Now at the Pearly Gates of Heaven, he will be missed by many, my sincere condolences to each of you.

Mr. Deese was always a nice welcome home at the end of a long day. Even though I had a transponder, I would often stop at the guard house just to say hi and chat about Dodge pickup trucks, etc.  

I will miss seeing him and his very friendly personality. Hard to find genuine and kind individuals like him nowadays. 

You will be missed my friend. Thanks for the chats. RIP. 

What a sad day. This Man was the best! I always got a wave from him when entering or leaving the community - plus he had a wonderful personality.

Condolences to the family. He was always so nice when I came through the Lk Jo Gate.  We had friends staying at our house last summer, the husband was going through a bone marrow transplant and they needed to be close to Moffitt. Our house qualified for that and Bryant was so kind to them. They always said he was just ready for them and always asked how things were going.  God bless his soul. Dave and Karen Cochran

Eugene was always a friendly and happy gate monitor. He always had kind words for anyone entering the gate. Many of my guests commented on his Friendly way of greeting them as they acepted a pass from him.
