Cousin Bobby was an amazing person. I always looked forward to seeing him and the family whenever they came to Chicago. Sending my deepest condolences to Flora, David, Monica, Marissa, and the entire family.

Bobby was a great man. He welcomed everyone who visited his home as if we were all part of the family.  Thank you for all of your great advise and for all of the laughter. You are truly going to be missed. My condolences to the family. My second family. My prayers are  with you all. 

Mr. Thompson thank you for being the father figure that you were. Living with my grandmother Ms. Cobbs two houses down from you guys is something that I will always treasure. I remember you being this giant ball of energy every time I saw you. I'll always remember the soft ball games you coordinated in the summer. You helped me learn how to ride a mountain bike. I wasn't that great at basketball but when i was playing with Marissa on the courts you would come teach me how to shoot and taught me how to shoot a bank shot off the backboard. I dont think i would be half the man i am today if i didnt have you to look up to and I just hope to be the Man, Husband and father that you were. You will be missed.

 I miss my dad everyday he was a wonderful great friend to me n loved me like a best friend and he loved my cooking and I loved his cooking as well my dad's cooking was good.  I enjoyed his cooking... he was kind to me and sweet to me...and he did everything for me..and we had fun together he used to play with me all the time every day...My dad loved to fish 🐟 too..

Bobby was like a second father to me. He was a great man that I’m glad I got to meet. Through the ups and downs he was always there ready to joke and laugh. He always checked in on me and made sure I was ok even when I was a teenager still finding my way in the world. I love you with all my heart. Thank you for everything you did and being a great family man.

My dear Uncle Dad. Words can’t express the pain I feel. My heart is broken, but I keep hearing your voice saying, “you have to be strong.” That’s what keeps me strong. But I admit, I still have my moments. I love, and respect you so much. You were one of the few people that was always there in my life, you gave me stability, and showed me what a man is supposed to be. You treated me, and loved me like one of your children, and I love you like my Dad. I’m really going to miss you, but I promise I’ll make you proud. Rest easy, and keep catching those fish in the sky. I’ll always love you, and hold your memory in high regard.

Bob was a great father, grandfather, husband, friend, and truly one of the best men I know. I love how he never cut corners to give his opinion. He always kept it real and never treated me as if I wasn't his daughter no matter how bullheaded I was. The loss of Bob my Father is indescribable. He is forever loved and will greatly be missed. 

My father was the greatest man I've ever known. This feels like a nightmare. I really don’t even know where to start. This is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Anyone who knew my father knew how close we were. Although I was only able to experience 31 short years with him, the great memories we've made have brought me some form of solace. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better father. I will miss and cherish him for the rest of my life. 💔💔💔.

I am truly devastated by the loss of my grandfather,my best friend ,my wingman and my father although it is a sad time all I can remember is every great time me and him had together rather it be the times we went to play golf or fishing riding bikes shooting hoops playing catch or even as simple as him wanting me to come with him every time he ran errands I will really miss those times so much as he has helped me understand life in a much kore positive way he was my backbone someone I knew I could always depend on no matter my predicament and I know now that he is depending on me and my whole family to stay strong and look out for each other through these tough times .never a dull moment with you I love you so much and hope to see you again soon one day 💞

We are so saddened to hear of Bobby’s passing. We’ve been neighbors for quite a few years. We first met Bobby and Flo when we brought them their mail that was delivered to us by mistake. They invited us in and we had such a nice visit. We live on the next street over, so we didn’t see each other very often. But when Bobby would come over to exchange mail, we’d always have such nice conversations.  ( Both our houses had the same number.) We are so saddened to hear of Bobby’s passing. We were neighbors for quite a few years. Bobby and Flo’s house can be seen from our back yard. We met when we got their mail delivered to our address by mistake. We went to deliver it to them and they invited us into their home. They were so pleasant and friendly to talk to. We never got to know them too well, but whenever we’d meet to exchange mail, we would have such a nice conversation. Bobby was such a friendly and outgoing guy. It was evident to us that he was a special man who possessed fine Christian qualities. He will be missed very much in our neighborhood.  We will keep Flo and his family in our thoughts and prayers. Met Bobby on an ebike ride with the gang on the 
Ft Desoto/Pass-a-Grill group ride. I could see the passion he had for ebikes and we quickly starting talking about the different ebikes and mods done to them on this ride. When I called him Bobby he quickly told me to call him “BT” I knew I had a good friend/riding partner at that moment. He tested my ebike seat cloud9 and loved it. He told me right when he gets home he was going on Amazon and ordering one. It made me happy that he liked this comfy seat and I though it would be good for him on these long rides. After the ride we were loading the bikes up and we noticed we parked side by side and had the same ebike rack 1-up we both spoke how much we loved our bike racks. There was another upcoming ride and he quickly asked me if I was coming. It definitely put a smile on my face that he thought to ask me that.

Riding alongside Bobby on a bike ride was something to look forward to. His love of the ride and the people was special and I will miss that. Getting to know each other is one of the best parts of the ride for me. Learning that Bobby loved to cook and could bake a cake from scratch made me smile to picture it. He spoke with love and pride of his family.  My thoughts and prayers are with you. Rest In Peace my friend.
