PORTER, Annie Jo, age 77 passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013. Her survivors include, daughters, Brenda Neptune and husband Dean of Georgia, Pamela Johnson and husband Fabian of Tampa, and Patricia Porter of Seffner; grandchildren, Felichia Porter, Anthony Porter and wife Maria, Niechia Lucas and husband William, Alechia Johnson, Kevin Neptune; great grandchildren, Briyanna Pierce, Bethel Pierce IV, Anthony Porter Jr., Noah Porter, William Lucas III, Isaiah Porter, Ariyanna Johnson, Jordan Porter; sisters, Willie Bell Austin, Beverly Parker, Mona Lisa Judge, Clara Broadnax, Ella Jones, Clinnie Tripp, Rosa Lilly and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and very special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis of 61 years; son Ronald Porter; brothers, Fred Liggons, Robert Jordan, John Jordan, and two of her close and dear friends, Willemena Baker and Bernice Mitchell. Annie attended public schools in Georgia. She met and married Louis Porter who was a member of the Armed Services. They relocated to Arizona Army Base and had 3 children. After Louis retired they moved the family to Florida where they had their fourth child and had lived in Seffner until her homegoing. She worked as a dietician for the Sheraton Hotel in Tampa for 7 years before deciding to leave the workforce to become a super mom at home raising her 4 children. She enjoyed watching the daily soap operas, gardening, and cooking large delicious Sunday dinners for her family and friends. She never met a stranger and her house was a home for anyone who visited and she was MOM to all family and friends. A memorial gathering will take place 10:30-11:00 a.m., with a service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Stowers Funeral Home, Brandon, FL www.stowersfh.com.
