Annette E. (Ellerbe) Kelly, age 85, of Seffner, Florida passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 of natural causes. Mrs. Kelly was born on February 7, 1936, has lived her entire life in the Tampa Bay area and is an alumna of Hillsborough High School. Family was very important to Annette, and she often shared stories about her parents and childhood. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, which could be experienced in any conversation. A master of arts and crafts, Annette loved to build yarn mazes and bedsheet forts with her grandchildren in their younger years. In her later years, Annette would become an avid pro wrestling fan, and loved to watch wrestling on Friday nights with her grandson Kenny.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Ivy C. Ellerbe and Margaret (Blevins) Ellerbe, her sister Glenda (Ellerbe) Freeman and her youngest son, Darrel Lee Kelly. She is survived by her husband of over 67 years, Kenneth Kelly, her daughter Anita (Kelly) Snyder and her eldest son Gary Kelly. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Allen Snyder and Kenneth (Kenny) Kelly.
She will always be remembered by those who knew her as a loving wife, a ‘Rock-n-Roll’ mom and a terrific grandmother.
A visitation for Annette will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, Florida 33511. A memorial service will occur Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, Florida 33511. A committal service will occur Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, Florida 33679.
