Patricia S. (Hill) Prtorich, age 68 of Frankford, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 12, 2024. She was born in Newton on August 27, 1955 and lived in Sussex County all of her life.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Joseph J. Prtorich, on October 23, 2019 and her parents, Robert D. and Leatrice A. Hill. Patricia is survived by her daughters, Katherine Frannicola and husband, William of Hampton, NJ and Kristie Carpenter and husband, Marc and grandson, Walter Joseph, of Millersville, MD, her loving dog, Maggy Mae, two sisters, Barbara Mosher of Montague and MaryLou Martin of CA and a brother, Robert Hill and wife, Carol of Blairstown. She leaves behind nieces, nephews, GrandDogs and extended family.
Pat graduated class of 1973 from Newton High School. She was part of the senior work program of Newton High School at Selective Insurance in Branchville, where she met Joe. He was a part of the college work program; they fell in love and were married on December 7, 1974. She later started working at Methodist Manor located in Branchville and Interpace Pipe Co., in Wharton before starting a family and being a stay at home mom to her daughters.
Pat loved to cook, she was lucky enough to have some of her recipes published; she also enjoyed painting, crafts and gardening. Her cooking and baking skills led to making dog treats for her loving dog and grand-dogs, plus gifting biscuits to friend’s dogs. She was honored to be a Girl Scout Leader for both of her daughters; helping Katherine earn her Silver Award.
Pat joined the Pocono Mountains Corvette Club – Pocono Mountains Region VCCA in 2018 with her husband, Joe, and enjoyed many outings. She continued her membership in the club until her death. She was also a member of The Rodfather Gang Car Club since 2019.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main Street, Branchville, NJ. A memorial service will begin at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to your favorite animal shelter or animal rescue in Pat's name. Pat believed that all shelter and rescued animals deserved a loving home. Condolences can be offered to the family below.
