Jean was born in Passaic on May 23, 1945 to the late Robert and Beatrice (Cousins) Drummond. Jean grew up in Nutley before moving to Frankford in the late 60’s and later settling in Wantage in the 90’s. Prior to her retirement in 2015, Jean was a nurse for over 40 years. Jean was an avid knitter and crocheter, however her passion drove her to helping with the First Presbyterian Church of Branchville food pantry where she was involved for over 20 years.
The beloved wife to the late Louis Ransom, Jean is survived by her children, Donna Parente (Steven), Paula Clark (Alan) and Mark Christman; her grandchildren, Heather (Mike), Haley, Sarah (Dan), Nicholas, Alan, Christopher, Kyle and Lucille; her great-grandchildren, Jack, Abigail, Emilia, Callan and Paityn and her sister, Barbara Quigg (Gregory).
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main Street, Branchville, NJ. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Branchville, 3 Wantage Ave, Branchville, NJ.
