Fern Lennington, age 91, of Layton, New Jersey passed away in her home on Thursday, November 17, 2022. Fern was born in Montclair on December 9th, 1930, to the late William and Luella Thierbach.

Fern kept busy with various office clerk positions in Sussex County throughout her life, retiring from Newton Hospital in 1996. Her adventurous and fun-seeking spirit led to her fondness for venturing up high in the air, whether it was on an airplane, a hot air balloon, or a glider plane. Fern particularly enjoyed riding on the back of a motorcycle with her son Dennis, or her son-in-law Michael.

Fern is survived by her 6 loving children; her daughter Tracy (Michael), son Dennis (Peggy), daughter Bette (Dean), son Jerry (Elena), son John (Blanche), and her daughter Kay. Fern will be greatly missed by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Fern's memory can be made to the Delaware Valley United Methodist Church, 131 Co Rd 645, Sandyston, NJ 07826.
