Mark passed away peacefully on November 15th at home, surrounded by the love of his family. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 45 years, Elaine, the love of his life. He will be remembered by his three daughters, Jennifer (Tom), Tanya (Radek), Alies (Ivan), his five grandchildren, Sophie, Hunter, Isla, Ethan and Adon, and his sister Alexandra.
By career, Mark was a Chartered Accountant and Controller. But much more than that, he was a true family man. He was a travel and life partner for Elaine, a coach and champion for his daughters and a playful and adoring “Pa” to his grandkids.
He also loved going to the horse races and looked forward to his annual trip to Saratoga with his buddies of over 50 years!
But to the core, Mark was a die-hard Chelsea Football Club fan and when a game came on, none of the above mattered. Anyone that knew him, knew that there were two ways to his heart, his wife and his Chelsea.
Blue is the colour, football is the game
We're all together, and winning is our aim
So cheer us on through the sun and rain
'Cause Chelsea, Chelsea is our name
Wherever you are, please raise a glass to Mark. He was our wine connoisseur, and this will make him smile.
