Sippel, Lorne Henry Emerson - Of Brampton, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday May 27, 2015 at Brampton Civic Hospital in his 90th year. Predeceased by his first wife Ethel (Lowe) in 1967 and his second wife Christine (Fisher) in 2008. Loving father of Judy Noble (Red), Brian Sippel (Nancy), Deborah Griffith (Daniel), John Russell (Dianne), Wayne Sippel (Rodie), Grace Strachan (Richard) and Mary Stocking. Grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Beryl Horst, many cousins, nieces and nephews and good friends.Lorne was predeceased by his parents Emerson and Edna (Kalbfleisch), his brother Kenneth Sippel, his brother-in-law Robert Horst and his sons-in-law Ronald Herborth and Murray Noble. In 1948, after finishing apprenticing as a Machinist at the C.N.R. shops in Stratford, Lorne honed his trade at the shops until 1963. He then joined Cooper-Bessemer and became a Field Service Representative installing and repairing engines, compressors and turbines across the country. Lorne retired as Manager of Field Services Eastern Division for Cooper Energy Services. A great lover of everything outdoors, he was an avid hunter, angler and gardener. Lorne and Chris had won 3 awards 3 years running from Brampton on their beautiful front gardens.
Lorne was a proud member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, the National Geographic Society and the Lake Smith Conservationists. Visitation and Memorial Service will be held at Andrews Community Funeral Centre, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, L6T 5N9, starting at 10.30 am.Thursday July 2,2015.
