Predeceased by his loving wife Beverley (2006). Beloved father to Judson and his wife Jessica. Cherished Papa to Felicia and L.J. Dear brother to Robert (Charlotte), Connie and to Rick (Marilyn).
He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Jud was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba but grew up in Shawinigan Falls, Quebec – where he and his brother Bob were known for causing mischief. He attended Shawinigan Falls High School and Shawinigan Falls Technical School, where he was qualified as a car mechanic. He joined the Canadian Air Force and repaired airplanes from 1956 to 1959. He then pursued a career in repairing chimneys and steeple jacking, then he worked for Dominion Bridge repairing the Bloor viaduct for the Bloor subway. He joined the Toronto Transit Commission in 1963 and drove buses and subway trains.
Jud met the love of his life Beverley Cameron in 1965, and they were married in 1968. They lived in Toronto, Ontario for the duration of their marriage and had one son (Judson Jr) in 1974.
Jud retired from the TTC in 1993 after 30yrs of service. As Jud was known as a man of action and never could sit still for long, he soon started driving his family crazy with home renovations and other projects. His wife and son requested he go back to work. Because Jud was a loving father and husband, he went to work at Marubeni Canada for 7 years before retiring again!
Jud was well known in the communities that he lived in, as he could always be seen helping his neighbor's and driving around town with his dog Buddy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
