After a long and courageous battle John passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Brampton Civic Hospital with his beloved wife of 59 years Muriel, daughter Phyllis, and close friends May and Ken by his side. John was predeceased by his son Grant. He will be forever missed by his grandchildren Shane, Jordan, and Shannon and great grandchildren Shyanne and Keegan. John will be missed by his brother and sister in law Irene and Albert and their children David, Peter, Karen and Paul, cousin Mollie and her husband Alastair. John will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. John was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He worked for Canadian Tire Corporation for 33 years. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 7- 9 p.m. , and Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 11-12 p.m., with a service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Andrews Community Funeral Centre (8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, 905-456-8190).
