Jean Elizabeth McKinnon

Born on September 15, 1930 in Campbellton, N.B. daughter of the late William MacCormack and the late Elizabeth Murchie of Blackand, N.B.

She is survived by three daughters - Gloria (Graham) Pah, Calgary, AB; Sheila (Ron) Leslie, Langdon, AB; and Gaye (Rick) Ellis, Kelowna, B.C. and one son Bryan (Fiona) McKinnon, Bramalea, ON and her former husband Rae McKinnon of N.B.

Her seven grandchildren: Dean (Marcee), Mollie, Nikki, Melissa, Jordyn, Shawn & Craig and her two great-grandaughters: Morgan and Payton.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by an infant daughter Sharon and two sisters Marion Cooling and Edna Vincent.

Jean was the church organist in Upsalquitch, N.B. from 1950 - 1960 and taught school for several years in Northern N.B. before moving to Ontario in 1960.

She later entered the Health Care field in geriatrics at Baycrest Jewish Geriatric Centre in Toronto. She graduated from Sheridan College in Oakville as a Health Care Assistant in 1971 and retired from Tullamore Nursing Home in Brampton, ON in 1996 after twenty-six years of devoted service.

She was a member of Emmanuel United Church in Bramalea.

In lieu of flowers any donations may be made to the M.S. Society or Emmanuel United Church.

On Friday, October 29, 2010 there will be a public viewing at Emmanuel United Church from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Refreshments to follow at Emmanuel United Church - 420 Balmoral Dr., Bramalea, On.
