Jim is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jane Wilson (nee Woodburn), children Kelly Unwin (John), Tim Wilson, Dawn Roberts (Oliver) and Dana Sinclair (Robb). He was fondly loved by his daughter-in-law Linsey (deceased). Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Anne and Peter Wilson and brother Bill Wilson (Diane).
He is also survived by his siblings; brother Jack Wilson (Lorraine), sister Florence Roach (Roland) and brother Richard Wilson (Darcy). Beloved Poppa to Benjamen, Mercedes, Autumn, Jaclyn, Hailey, Wilson, Lakeland, Zara, Quinlea and Lorelei. He will be greatly missed by his large extended family.
Jim (a.k.a. JF) worked as a Cable Repair Technician/manager at Bell Canada for 33 years, retiring in 1988.
Jim was known for his sense of humour, his passion for story-telling and his ability to entertain and hold an audience. Jim was an avid sports fan and a passionate Leafs and Jays fan. He loved reading mysteries, eating buffet food and playing poker. He also loved comedy and was up on the dance floor when the music started to play.
He will be especially missed by his many friends and family in Canada and the USA, especially in Sarasota, Florida.
A “Celebration of Life” will he held on Saturday, May 25th, 2013. Drop in anytime from 3-8pm at 12065 Hurontario St. Brampton at Snelgrove Place in the Party Room. Friends and family are invited to come and share memories and reminisce about Jim.
