Edwin Arnold Turner passed away at the age of 88 on Wednesday September 9, 2020 at Brampton Civic Hospital.
Edwin was born on November 23, 1931 to parents Edgar and Gwendoline Turner. He was one of six children. Edwin was a veteran of the British Army and served his country in the Korean war before choosing to emigrate to Canada in 1965. He was an active member in his community, volunteering much of his time with the church and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a founding member of the Bramalea Cross-Sticks field hockey club.
Edwin is preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Gwendoline, brothers George and Desmond and sister Shirley. He is survived by his wife Valerie; children Wayne (Jayda), Elizabeth (Claudio) and Christine (Conner); grandchildren Isabella, Antonio, Joelle and Kareena; siblings Arthur “Bob“ (Marilyn), Geoffrey and their families.
Edwin was a loving husband, supportive father and devoted friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and his memory will remain forever in our hearts.
