I was very saddened to hear of Dave's illness and passing.  Growing up with Dave as a neighbour was always interesting. I remember him standing in our front hall just after he got his drivers license.  He had a funny look on his face and he said, gee it feels funny having a license but nothing to drive.  Not long after he had his first of many cars to come on the road.

Dave you were not only my brother in law but a great friend. We first met when I was only 18 dating his beautiful sister Shirley. From times snowmobiling in Bancroft to the past 20 years golfing in Myrtle Beach. Dave's famous line for the drive "We get there, when we get there".

Dave was and will always be a cherished childhood friend of mine and my brothers Gord and John and sister Cindy and my husband Wayne in later years.  We have all been reminiscing our many adventures and escapades with much shared laughter and sadness.
