I got the honour, and blessing of becoming a friend to Clara for a short peroid of time before Christmas. She was a very smart,intelligent,loving,strong,classy lady who loved life. The most important things to in life was her family. Her Soulmate Husband Gunther of 54years,her loving son Curt,her best friend and daughter-in-law Jennifer and her pride and joy grandson Eric...Clara has touched everyone's heart's as she got to know them, I know she did to mine.
Clara you will be deeply missed, but never forgotten..
Go in peace now as we all celebrate the life tht you had here with each and everyone of us...

I remember Clara as a fun woman  who taught me how to say Te eyam Seep Vodj - on Hungarian to my new boyfriend at the time...we are now 7 years married and that is still the only Hungarian I know!  It means ``I find you beautiful``....and I do beleive she was.

Our family was so sad to hear of dear Clara's passing.  We have so many happy memories of her from Whalley Lake and latterly at Brampton.  Clara was such a fun loving, generous and glamourous lady who always gave you the most sincere welcome when we would visit whilst on holiday in Canada from England.

She was so kind to my parents on their visits to Canada and also to Lloyd and Ryan when they were small.  It was such a pleasure to have known her - she lit up your day when she was around.

Our deepest condolences go to Gunther and Family.

It was quite a jolt when I heard the news of Clara.  It's so difficult to believe that someone with such life and spirit could be gone.

I remember Clara from the days at Walley Lake in Magnetawan.  And that's exactly where my thoughts took me the moment I heard the news.

I could see her again... comiing out from the door of her farmhouse... with yet another casserole dish in her hands... for the pig roast.  And she was smiling... always smiling... always happy.  She loved nothing more than her family and friends around her.

In my child's mind's eye... she was the most positive woman I knew... believing that the world was anyone's oyster to take... we just had to reach out and grab it.

I remember her breaking out spontaneously into song and dance.  She so loved music, and a good party.

And she was warm and generous and kind... and oh boy could she cook!...always insisting "take more, eat up"!  And all of this coming out of her funny little farmhouse kitchen.

She was sex appeal personified!... even to other women... and even as she got older.  She never lost it.  Men knew when she stepped into a room.

She loved to laugh didn't she?  And one couldn't help but laugh with her when she did.

But she was deep too.  She saw a lot with her eyes, but kept her private thoughts to herself... never judging how other's handled their life... only loving them through it.  We have to adore non-judgmental people... I know I do.

And she sure loved Gunther didn't she?  We should all be so lucky to have someone love us that much for that long.  They were both blessed to have each other.

And Curt... how lucky was he to have such an amazing mother as Clara?  I could well imagine she did nothing but encourage and help him all her life.  That must have been marvellous for Curt... to have such a strength behind him.

God bless Clara, and to those who love her and remain behind.  This will be a most difficult time for them.

As we just left Lima, Peru to Easter Island, we can feel Clara's spirit with the birds that follow us, free and joyous.  Our time together at Whalley Lake really bring back memories. What can I say....there will never be anyone else like Baba Neni.  There are so many wonderful memories of my childhood that she was such a big part of.  So much time spent together, both good and bad.  She will never be forgotten.  My mother is in Australia right but I know she feels the same way. I was so sad to hear the news of Clara this morning... much more than I realized at first.

I haven't seen her in quite a few years.  I would have liked to.  Nothing kept us apart except geography.

My thoughts of Clara go way back... to Walley Lake.  To the family cottage.  Ours and theirs.

I had a vision... almost immediately... of Clara walking out from the door of her farmhouse... with yet another casserole dish in her hands... for the pig roast.

And she was always smiling!  Gosh darn it if she wasn't the happiest woman I ever knew!

So full of life... so full of spirit... breaking out into song and dance spontaneously.

Because that was who she was... a woman full of passion meant to entertain and love us all.  She loved nothing more than her friends and family around her.

And she loved Gunther didn't she?  We should all be so lucky in this lifetime.  To have someone love us that much, for that long.

And Curt... what a blessing when she picked him.  How lucky he was... to have such a positive person for a mother!

In my child's minds eye... she was happiness personified.  I surely did adore her!

Clara was my best friend and confidant. She held our family together for 14 years. She loved and valued her friends and had many good times up north. She was aways the life of the party and always knew how to tell a good joke. She never judged anyone and she was always understanding. She will be missed and lives on through our fond memories, She will be greatly missed by Gunther and my family, Jennifer her Daughter In Law~

I am very saddened to hear the news of Clara's passing. I have very fond memories of getting to know her and Gunther from when I was a young teenage boy up at Wally Lake. She is and was one of the most warmest and generous lady's that I have ever met. I couldn't wait to get up to the cottage on the weekends just to she her. She has and will always have a very special place in my heart. God Bless Clara.

I grew up with Clara Riddle and Andrea Reiner and knew "Baba Neni" many years ago.  I have such fond memories of her.  May the love of family and friends give you comfort through your grief.

We were so saddened to receive the news of our dear friend Clara's passing. We were fortunate to have her as a part of our lives for so many year, we shared many laughs and many tears but we will still have the memories. 

Unfortunately, we will not be able to attend on Monday as we are spending the winter in Arizona, but our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
