Passed away suddenly in his 90th year, Charlie will be greatly missed by his sons Russell (Janice), Brian (Sharon), and his grandchildren, Casey, Graham, Amanda and Ashley, as well as his sister Isa, of Scotland. He is predeceased by his brother Jack (Nancy) of Scotland and George (Helen) of Mississauga as well as his parents , George and Isabella.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland on February 8, 1931, Charlie immigrated to Canada with his loving wife, Catherine in 1956. They later had two sons and settled in Mississauga where he worked as a property manager and at the Toronto Island Airport in his later years.
When Catherine passed away in 1985, a few years later Charlie met Noreen Cole (deceased) of Brampton, and enjoyed a long and loving relationship with her and her family.
Many thanks to the devoted staff of Simcoe Terrace in Barrie for their care and support over the years. He will be lovingly remembered by everyone for his constant smile, his sense of humour, his many stories and his Scottish slang!
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charles Cunningham may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada.
Rest in peace Charlie, you will be forever in our hearts.
