It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Carole Pitcher (nee Warman) on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga at the age of 82. Carole was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, sister, mother, Nana/Grandma, friend, and CWL Life Member.
Carole was born on March 29, 1942 in Toronto, Ontario to Douglas and Marion Warman and was the loving wife and soul mate of Hugh (predeceased in 2001) for almost 60 years, a devoted mom to Michael, and his wife Vanessa, Mark, and his wife Diane, and Maryanne and her husband Mark. Loving, supporting, and cheering on her 10 grandchildren: Eric, Evan, Emily, Ethan, Mason, Emma, Thomas, Lauren, Holly, and Maggie was her greatest joy. Carole was highly respected and loved as the oldest sibling to Shirley (Patrick), Brenda (Nicholas), and Gerry (Carmel) and sister-in-law to Marlynne (Walter). She will be greatly missed by all her family members, including many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Carole was a dedicated TCDSB educator for over 40 years and her faith was at the heart of everything Carole valued. Her involvement in the Catholic Women's League was something that she was so proud of and she held many different titles, including Past President of the Toronto Archdiocesan CWL Council, also Past President of St. John Fisher CWL, and Life Member to this day. Carole was known for her quiet, gentle nature and her kind and generous spirit to all who knew her. Carole retired from a rewarding teaching career to spend time with her family, friends and dedicate her time to her unwavering faith. Carole will be so deeply missed, but will live in our hearts forever.
Family and friends are welcome to honour Carole on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Andrew’s Funeral Home from 3 pm - 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 30 at 12:30 pm at St. John Fisher Parish. Interment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery to follow. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for the loving care Carole received from Unit 2A and the ICU team at Credit Valley Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carole’s memory to Society of the Little Flower (ca.littleflower.org) or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
