Carl is lovingly remembered by his brother Gary Brawley (Karen) and sister Joan Cook (Dan) and their children John, Mark (Brittany), Alexander, Moragh (Paul), Sandra (Eric), Nancy (Matthew), and Elizabeth (Scott). He will also be missed by his great nieces and nephews Ian, Eve, Finn, Olivia, Parker, Emily, Ethan, and William. Carl was a devoted son and is predeceased by his parents Elvin and Betty Brawley. He will be missed by his many cousins and friends. Carl loved his nieces, nephews, and cousins, and enjoyed socializing with them and their children at family gatherings. He always showed interest in their ideas, activities and news.
Carl attended the University of Waterloo, where he graduated with a degree in urban planning. He started his career at the City of Brampton and later worked for over 20 years at Glen Schnarr & Associates Inc (GSAI), until his retirement as a Senior Associate. Throughout his career, Carl was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, planning expertise and for the connections he made with colleagues and clients. Carl touched many lives with his kindness and generosity. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Carl's family will receive family and friends at Andrews Community Funeral Centre — Bramalea Chapel, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, (905-456-8190), on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., where the Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m.
