It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Antonio de Vera Jr on November 17, 2024 at Brampton Civic Hospital at the age of 59. Father to a Loyal Son, Antonio de Vera III (Tres). Cherished brother to Tonnette, Analene (Jonathan) and Angelo (Anna). Proud and affectionate Uncle to Isabeau
He will be missed dearly by many of his lifelong friends and chosen family that he had tremendous impact throughout his life. They will miss his presence and his enthusiasm for good times. Tony will be dearly missed by his pet cats Thuy and Yuki who provided him with lots of company and affection while he was ill.
He was born on August 23, 1965 in Manila, Philippines to a motorcycle-racing father, Antonio Sr and Onette de Vera a Lay Carmelite. A valedictorian in Kindergarten, he found it hard to explain how he can solve equations in his head.
He became a beloved mentor to his many “adopted children.” His passing has left them deeply saddened. His love for motorcycles and the great outdoors, especially his cherished moments fishing with friends, were defining aspects of his life. To those of us who knew him and were guided by his wisdom and sense of humour, his impact will never be forgotten.
A visitation for Tony will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 3 pm -8 pm at Andrews Community Funeral Centre – Bramalea Chapel, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton ON.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 11am, St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, 115 Vodden St E, Brampton ON. Post-funeral Reception to be held after burial in the Church Hall with light refreshments and celebration afterwards.
