Passed away peacefully at Southbrook Retirement Home in Brampton, Ontario, on Thursday, April 3, 2025, with family by her side at the age of 101. Loving wife to Frank Smyk for over 69 years. Dear mother to Helga and her husband Gerald Blackwell, Irene and her husband Terry Melo, Edmund Smyk and Frankie Smyk. Cherished grandmother to Paul Melo and his wife Laura, Mandalay and her husband Ian McCulloch, Denise and her husband Alan Thomson, Sean Melo, Rhiannon and her husband Anthony Andrade, Vanessa Melo and her husband Joe De Guzman and great grandmother to Julia Thomson, Liam McCulloch, Shannon McCulloch, Olivia Thomson, Makayla Blackwell, Jacob De Guzman, Lucas De Guzman, Sienna Andrade, Colton Melo and Summer Melo. Anna will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her extended family and friends.
A visitation for Anna will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Andrews Community Funeral Centre, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, Ontario. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 12:30 PM at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 300 Balmoral Dr, Bramalea, Ontario. Interment on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Assumption Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga, Ontario
