Susan Cronin

husband of nearly 56 years by her side.

Sue was born on May 12, 1945 to Martha Schmid and George Paul Schroeger in Kansas City,

MO. She was the third born and oldest daughter of nine children.

Sue graduated from St Joseph High School in Shawnee, KS in 1963 and it was there that she met her husband Larry Cronin. They were married on February 20, 1965 and were inseparable from that day forward.

The family moved from Shawnee, KS to Sarasota, FL in 1976.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Martha Schroeger, her brother Paul Schroeger, and her granddaughter Sara Cronin.

Sue is survived by her husband Larry Cronin. Four children Christine Hunt (William) of Sedalia, CO., Stephen Cronin (Kari) of Bradenton, FL., Angela Fonte (Cesar) of Sarasota, FL and Julia Cronin-Dolford of Tampa, FL. Seven grandchildren: Taylor Jaworski, Colin Cronin, Daniel Dolford, Bethany Fonte, Hannah Fonte, Noah Cronin and Logan Cronin. One great grandchild: Hunter Jaworski. Three brothers: Mark Schroeger, Michael Schroeger, Matthew Schroeger. Four sisters: Mary Thomas, Anne Hoelting, Elizabeth Johnson and Barbara Toth.

Sue was loved by all and will truly be missed. Her family was of upmost importance to her.

She was a dedicated and supportive wife, always the sister with an ear to listen, a mother you could trust for the best advice and a grandmother the loved her grandchildren with a passion. She loved passing her cooking, crocheting, and crafting skills on to her daughters and granddaughters. Two of the granddaughters in particular loved what they referred to as “Granny Camp”. Spending a week or two during summer break with Sue to learn the skills that are a lost art in today’s world.

A memorial mass will be held at 1PM on Saturday, February 20 (Larry and Sue’s 56th Wedding Anniversary) at Saints Peter & Paul the Apostles Catholic Church, 2850 75th St W, Bradenton, FL 34209.

A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at Pavilions 5 & 6, G.T. Bray Park, 5502 33rd Ave Dr. W, Bradenton, FL 34209.
