It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, Sean Patrick Geiger, of Bradenton, Florida, who left us on February 22, 2019 at the age of 17. He was born January 5, 2002 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Sean’s spirit was gentle, loving, and goofy. Sean had attended Braden River High School up until his Junior year. His love was for family, friends, basketball, and music.
Those who knew Sean, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. He left the pain, but he also left us all and we will never be the same again.
For every burden that we bear,
for every sorrow, every care,
there’s a reason.
For every grief that bows the head,
for every teardrop that is shed,
there’s a reason.
For every hurt, for every plight,
for every lonely pain-racked night,
there’s a reason.
But if we trust God, as we should,
all must work out for our good.
He knows the reason.
He is survived by loving parents Kimberly Geiger and TJ (Nate) Porter Jr., brother Stacee Porter, grandmother (Nana) Karen Geiger, aunt Tracy Davis, grandparents Nathaniel Porter Sr and Leslie Porter, uncle Cevell Porter, along with other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather (PopPop), Joe Geiger.
Services will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Bayside Community Church, 15800 E State Road 64, Bradenton, FL 34212. The viewing will be from 10:00-11:00am, with the funeral beginning at 11:00am.
