Roy Nathaniel Green Jr., born February 13, 1940, passed away peacefully on February 09, 2024, surrounded by family, and loved ones. Roy grew up in Gainesville, FL where he attended Gainesville High School and graduated from the University of Florida. He began his career as an Elementary School Teacher. Roy later moved to Sarasota, FL, retiring from the US Postal Service after 27 years of service. He was a former member and Elder of Bee Ridge Presbyterian Church in Sarasota, FL.
Roy was preceded by his mother, Iverna Cooper, father Roy N. Green Sr., and brother, Mike Green. He is survived by his son, Roy N. Green III, daughters Mary Fivecoat (Scott), Robin Tickner (Bob), and Susan Tamburin (Jack), 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and former wife Shirlene Norman. Roy has requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services.
Roy will be dearly missed and always remembered.
