His parents were Roger Brandt Hall and Mary Louise Hall. He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Diana Richards Hall and 3 children: Roger W. Hall II, Christina Hall Rodriquez and Stephanie Hall Harnish. Roger was the proud grandfather of Kayla Harnish, Xavier Rodriguez, Ryan Wittman Hall, Brandt Carter Harnish, Evan Addison Hall and Roger Peyton Rodriquez. His beloved pets included three Maltese: Madison, Minnie and Scooby.
Roger attended Kentucky Military Institute and Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He received his M.D. from the University of Florida Medical School in 1967 and did his surgical residency at Ohio State University. Returning to Bradenton in 1972, he joined Doctors Gordon Arnold and John Knowles in the practice of General and Vascular surgery. He was Chief of Surgery and Chief of Staff at both Blake and Manatee Memorial Hospitals. He was an Episcopalian and attended Christ Episcopal Church in Bradenton for many years.
Roger and Diana loved to travel to nearly every country in the world. His favorite was Israel, the birth place of his Lord and Savior. In his younger years, he and Diana loved to sail their boat and play tennis. He also had a passion for cooking.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
