Robert L. Chandler

He is survived by his wife Sylvia; two stepsons, Shane Knowles and Scott (Katrina) Knowles of Franklin, Georgia; two daughters, Barbara (Barry) Richaman of Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada and Karen Chandler of Palmetto, Florida; three grandchildren, Savanna, Forrest and Keaton; and mother-in-law Stella Rowden of Gainesville, Georgia. He was predeceased by son Robert Bradley Chandler.

Robert moved to the local area 35 years ago. He was the founder of several businesses. He was best known as the owner and operator of Chandler Classic Cars, established in 1973. The company’s reputation was so good that 90% of its cars were sold sight unseen.

Robert was a loving husband, a wonderful father and grandfather, and a dedicated Christian. He was also a collector of classic cars. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18th from 6–8:00 pm at Manasota Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1221 56th Avenue, East in Bradenton. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 19th at 11:00 am at Bradenton Gospel Tabernacle, 1218 7th Avenue, East in Bradenton.
