Born May 12, 1922, in Irisburg, Virginia, she lived in Bloomington, Indiana, before settling in Bradenton. She retired from Scotts Plastics in Bradenton, Florida.

Survivors include her son Ronald Edward Smith and wife Helen Louise (Rexroad) Smith of Garden City, Idaho, a Step-Daughter Sandy Kay (Smith) Ryan and Step-Son Michael David Smith both of Bloomington, Indiana, Grandson William Ronald Smith, wife Karen Jean (Levesque) Smith of Fall River, Massachusetts and sons Russell Edward Smith, Douglas Ryan Smith, Caleb Norman Smith, and Carrie Lyn (Smith) Hesketh, her son Brandon Hesketh, her daughter Danielle Hesketh and her son Daniel Hesketh of Lewiston, ME, and Nephews Rick Smith, wife Connie (Halfhill) Smith and their two children of Owenton,Kentucky, and Robert Ikerd of Bloomington, Indiana.

Reatha was preceded in death by her parents Edward Dayton Mathis and Mildred (Kathleen) Cutlip, her husband William Ralph Smith, and her twin sister Ruth Eleanor (Mathis) Wilson.

Graveside Services will be held at Noon on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Manasota

Memorial Park in Bradenton, Florida.

Relatives and friends are welcome at the service.
