Phyllis Ann Murphy, 91, passed away on Thursday, April 22, at Brookdale Palmer Ranch in Sarasota. She was born on January 1, 1930, in Frankfort, Indiana, to Walter and Helen Wattles. She was an Assistant VP in banking at the Bank of Waukegan and a member of the American Business Women’s Association. She and her husband, Oliver Kenneth, moved to Bradenton in 1993 from Waukegan, Illinois.
Those left behind to cherish the memory of Mrs. Murphy are her two sons, Scott A. and Gary Murphy (Jill); three grandchildren, Brandon Murphy (Samantha), Ryan Murphy, and Laura Beth Peavey (Ryan); along with two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Bo Peavey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Midwest Therapeutic Riding Program, 1451 172nd Ave, Union Grove, WI 53182.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2021, at Manasota Memorial Park, with Rev. Chad Tvenstrup officiating.
