2020- We bought our first home and Paul & Diana came to visit us and helped us with hanging the pictures. All the big wall hangings, mirrors were hung by Paul & my husband with a lot of effort and laughter. It’s a fond memory of Paul we have! 

A stunning loss of our beautiful, amazing brother.  He left us way too early; we had so many wonderful things yet to do. Paul always filled the room wherever he was with humor, love, support if you needed it and always with a zest for life which was very inspirational to me many times over. He will be missed every day.

My dear Diana, Paul’s  passing is being beyond sad and painful for John and I.  It seems it was just yesterday that we introduced you guys and since I cared so much for you, I wanted you to meet this wonderful human being. We felt so proud when you guys got married and truly and literally was a union made in heaven that lasted until death did you apart! 
I truly believe Paul left this  Earth too early, he had so much to offer to his loved ones and been such an athletic, healthy, strong man, it seems so unfair that he suffered this devastating illness that he could not beat!
May the good memories bring you peace and help you coping with such a big loss! He won’t be forgotten!

One of many memories of Paul is from the 90s when he transferred to my group at GE, and I was assigned to be his “Big Brother” during his first few days. As his “Big Brother,” I was responsible for showing him where the bathrooms were and buying him lunch on his first day. After showing him around, I took him to lunch; however, I forgot my wallet. So, Paul had to pay the check for our lunch, and I kept the receipt and expensed it. So much for free lunch! More than 25 years later, and I still owe him his free lunch.  He always said, I was a terrible big brother, and I can’t imagine why.  
The picture I uploaded shows Paul (middle) and me (left) going to a pre-bid meeting for a large contract for GE in 1998.  The smile on his face is proof that he loved his job! 
Paul’s impact on my life is immeasurable. He was a role model for me, and he challenged me to be the best version of myself.  What an amazing person and what a remarkable life.  I feel so lucky that I got to know him, and he became not just my colleague but my brother.  My heart is breaking for Diana, Jared, Thomas, Austin, and Paul’s brothers and sisters.  I’m praying for you all and hoping you’ll find some comfort in the fact that we will see him again someday.

Dear Diana,

We are so sad to hear about the loss of your beloved husband Paul. He was an incredible man, a true gentleman. We will always remember him for his great sense of humor, his culinary skills,  his generousity and most especially for having the biggest heart of anyone we know. 

Needless to say, you and Austin are in our thoughts during these difficult days.  We will always cherish the memories we shared with you and Paul in Minnesota.
