Nicholas loved playing for the Kansas City Royals Miracle League baseball team. He played for them since he was five years old. This organization gave him and gives kids of all abilities, and their parents, the opportunity to enjoy something they would not have been offered otherwise. He could be a baseball player and we could be his screaming fans. We are requesting that memorial donations be made to Miracle League of Northwest Arkansas. Pure joy exuded from Nicholas. He was the embodiment of light and love. He touched many people’s lives with his kindness, politeness and positive spirit. A quote from one of his favorite movies Planes, “Kid, I learned a lot more from you, than you ever learned from me” was true of how we felt about him all his life. He taught us to appreciate every day no matter what. In our grief we also think of a quote from another favorite movie of his, Greater, which is etched on Brandon Burlsworth’s headstone, “Our loss is great, but God is greater.”
