Neil C. Beachy

Neil served our country during World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the destroyer USS Sproston. After the war he returned to Akron, Ohio where he completed his high school education by graduating from East High School in 1948.On December 4, 1948 Neil married Mildred McGaughy, whom he had met through a mutual friend. Neil and Mildred moved to 17th Street in Cuyahoga Falls where they raised their children, Lee Ann and Kevin. After 38 years of service, Neil retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 1986 and relocated to Bradenton, Florida with his wife Mildred to escape the cold Ohio winters. Neil will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul who enjoyed helping others.

He is survived by son, Kevin (Candace); step-daughters, Dixie (Wally) Mixon and Linda (Clayton) Ford; step-sons, Daryl (Willene) Parks, and David (Charlene) Parks; grandchildren, Bethany and Timothy Beachy, Kellie (Mike) Koubek; as well as greatgrandchildren, Kyla and Michael Koubek.

He is preceded in death by wives, Mildred and Freda; as well as daughter, Lee Ann.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Neil Clifton Beachy are suggested to Tidewell Hospice; 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota FL, 34238.

Memorial Services will be held 1: 00 PM Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Manasota Memorial Park and Funeral Home; 1221 53rd Avenue East, Bradenton, FL 34203. Pastor David Cooper Officiating.
