Lucille Irene Fox, born April 21, 1921 to Chester and Elva Marsh at home in Shelby, MI passed away on October 6, 2024 in Bradenton, FL. Lucy graduated from Hart High School in Hart, MI. Growing up she helped with the family farm and worked in an aircraft plant when she decided to enlist in the Army. She finally fullfilled her passion to serve her country and joined the Army WAAC. She went on to basic training in 1943 to patriotically serve as a telecommunicator during World War II.
She returned home from the war, married and had two children. Charles Cochran (Debbie) and Marsha Rounds (Richard). Also greatly missing her are "her boys" Jim Burmeister and Jeff VanderHeide.
She was a talented seamstress known throughout the area for her skills. Her passion was Ballroom Dancing and she was a coveted partner for several decades in Sarasota and Bradenton.
Her family and friends are comforted that she peacefully waltzed through the Great Ballroom doors to join her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews that predeceased her.
In addition to her children she had many grandchildren. Charles, Marisa Lu, Sean, Charly and Travis. Also step grandchildren, Jenai, Amanda, Faith, Dave, and Travis. She has many great-grands as well!!
We all cherish the memories of all life skills and survivor lessons she shared with us.
Close family will gather when weather permits to say good byes and celebrate her beautiful life.
