He was born in Winchester, IN Jan 31, 1935.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Nelson; one sister Emma Jean Watkins; sons Rex (Theresa); Tony; Johnny (Denise) and daughter Joanna. Step-children Richard and Karen. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his son Lowell E. Nelson Jr and grand daughter Jenny Sue.
A visitation will be held at Manasota Funeral Home on Sat. Feb 28 from 2 - 4pm with a service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to the ALS Association.
