Joan Carol Rice

Joan Carol Rice, 74, of Bradenton entered into eternal rest to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 29, 2016. She was born October 7, 1941 in Johnson City, NY to Merton and Louise Soules, now deceased.

Joan loved raising her daughter Bonnie, and enjoyed helping to raise her granddaughter, Samantha. She will be remembered for her love of animals and how she fed strays. Joan will be greatly missed by not only her family but cats, Sunny and Joshua; as well as hamster, Baby.

She is survived by loving husband, Richard; daughter Bonnie and husband Richard of Bradenton; granddaughter, Samantha of Bradenton; sister, Pat of New Hampshire; as well as sister-in-law’s, Betty and Vera of Massachusetts.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Joan C. Rice are suggested to The American Cancer Society; P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

Family will receive friends for a time of visitation 10AM -11AM Thursday September 1, 2016 at Manasota Memorial Park and Funeral Home; 1221 53rd Avenue East, Bradenton, FL 34203. Services will commence at 11AM with Interment to follow.
