My deepest sympathy to Janet's girls and to the Heim family !! She was such a great friend back at Woodridge Ave.in Fairfield..I loved the Heim family. Alice and Bill and Joan and Liz and Larry !we have many great memories ! She was a class act !May she rest in peace..

To Janet Heim's family.  I have many fond memories of the years I worked for Janet at Xerox in El Segundo.  Staff meetings were an equal mixture of work and humor.  It has also been my privilege to continue our friendship after she moved to the east coast.  Our long phone calls were so special because they included updates on each of her family members, especially details of Katherine's and Meg's lives.  Her love for her girls and pride in their accomplishments was always evident.  I will miss those updates and the ever-present humor of my dear friend, Janet.  My condolences to each member of her family and to her many friends.

To my dear sister Janet,
We are all still in shock that you are no longer with us. However, we all know that you are finally in a place of complete health, happiness and serenity. You are also fortunate to be with so many friends and relatives who have crossed over before us. Your girls have grown into lovely and responsible young women. I finally got to meet Emma and Nike and you raised some incredible fur people. We all wanted to sneak them into our luggage but their kitty mama Katherine made sure that they are now enrolled at Univ of Florida. Please watch over Mom. She misses your daily phone calls. I have taken up this commitment that you fulfilled for decades. We will all watch over your girls and help them with anything that they need. I love you Chickie and I miss you so much!

A joy to work with and a pleasure to know.

I met Janet in 1979 at Xerox in El Segundo, CA, where I was privileged to work for her.  She was extremely hard-working, a great leader/planner, an excellent writer/communicator, a talented business analyst, and a kind and supportive mentor.  She had an enormously creative mind, a quick wit, and a great sense of fun...  making her a very popular manager and executive.  

We kept in touch and years later, as Janet refocused life around her family and community, she adapted those skills as a loving mother, compassionate volunteer, and loyal friend.  She adored and was very proud of Katherine and Meg, and was committed to their happiness and success in life.  

Janet was one of a handful of people with whom I felt a spiritual connection.  I was so blessed to know her and pray that she is experiencing the pure health, peace, love, and joy of heaven.  My  condolences to Alice, Larry, Joan, Liz, Katherine, and Meg…  to all her loving family and devoted friends who, like me, will miss her every day.

I remember many good times in VA: swimming, RCC, Easter Egg hunts, dinners and fun with Peyton and Hayden. Your mom was always the planner for these events. Janet was a loving mother and truly loved her daughters. She was a neighbor of ours for many years and I enjoyed knowing her and her two beautiful girls Katherine and Meg. My fondest memory was when she would dress up for Halloween and give the best candy bars to the kids! She was also very proud of her Irish heritage and would make traditional irish dishes that she would share with us every St. Patricks Day. She was so sweet and kind to our daughter Lauren and always gave me books on parenting and decor for her room. She will be dearly missed and remembered with much love.
