Born July 13, 1931, in New York City. After serving honorably in the US Army during the Korean War,
he returned to New York and met the love of his life, and wife of 60 years, Lucille Mescall.
James is survived by his wife, Lucille; two daughters, Audrey and Bernadette; sons-in-law,
Joseph and Gregory; grandchildren, Jillian, Emily, Jaclyn, Kiersten, Ally and Daniel; and
brother, Gerald and sister, Anne.
James will be remembered for his humor, love of family and unbreakable faith.
Services will be Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at 11:00a.m., Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 12905 East State Road 70,
Lakewood Ranch, Florida, 34202.
Burial will follow at 1:00p.m. at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241.
