James was born on November 2, 1974, in Bradenton to Larry and Carol Burkett. A graduate of Manatee Community College, he lived in Bradenton, where he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
His hobbies and interests included writing and gaming. He was a devoted son, father, and brother.
James is survived by his mother, Carol; his son, James Burkett; his brothers, Jeff and Aaron; and his sister, Leslie. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kim, and his father, Larry.
A visitation for James will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton, FL 34203, followed by a Celebration of life at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Manasota Memorial Park.
