She was preceded in death by her parents- John and Nellie Vandersommen, her brother, Al Vandersommen, and by her husband of 45 years, William L. Renz.
Dorrie is survived by her son, Gary Renz of Homosassa, Fl. A daughter and son-in-law, Debby and Sam Mining of Deer Park, Texas. Dorrie had three grandchildren- Allie Renz Price, Jon Renz, Brad Mining. Three great-grandchildren- Bradley, Kylie, and Mason Mining. She also had three nieces- Karen Dixon, Cherie Conrad, and Carol Springer.
Dorrie and Bill moved to Bradenton in 1979. She worked for Dr. R.A. DeMarco and Dr. Arthur Beaudry. She was a member of the Moose Club. She was a member of the First Methodist Church Downtown Bradenton.
She was a resident of Heritage Park Care for over four years. She enjoyed her home and her caregivers.
She will be laid to rest with her husband, Bill at Manasota Memorial Park Cemetary.
