I had a chance to be able to come to Dave’s house and live he opend his house up for rent I rented out the room for several months I knew right off from the start that Dave was a nice guy i was shocked after a year leaving Florida he said to me if you like to come back let me know …I was sad to find out the news that he passed and even shocked I just went back to the house he owned to see it vacant with no lights wow… I know life is short but to cross paths as we did is amazing how God   opened that door to meet him Amen 🙏.. 

Sunday July 18  Friends will gather 7:00 pm At Rosemary and Thyme Restaurant on Orange Ave for a Celebration of Life and Remembrance for Dave.  Please join us and bring those stories.

We had 35 years with never a harsh word or a problem unsolved. I'm really going to miss that guy. I sure that all of you will too. We lost a good friend.

So very Glad to have know Dave.  He brought Humor  and Good will to every encounter.

Dave was a great person. He was kind and fun-loving. When I was looking for work, he went out of his way to use his contacts to assist my networking. He was full of jokes and always positive! I have known David since 2015 when i had surgery and David became my driver. We we inseparable for 8 months. I went with him wherever he needed to go and he went with me whetever I had to go.

He had a great sense of humor. We would discuss everything, and very soon i picked up his unique style by  "challenging him" on his statement. Or I would say" 9 out of 10 indian chiefs would disagree with that statement and it soon became our code talking about his sense of humor., 


I quickly learned Dave would do good deeds for friends at moments notice dropping his schedule to help out.

He could answer questions on a/c and refrigeration , better than anybody, knowing more about that equipment than so called experts.

He always had a solution to a problem, including recently, when a mutual friend had legal issues, Dave figured a way out using a dinner napkin.

The last time i saw dave was just before his illness,  He volunteered to bring a TV from his house to play a movie for an audience, again saving the day when he realized there was no movie playing software on his computer and getting it installed at the last minute. Another Dave, Save.

Im sure many of us remembering Dave could tell a Dave, Save story.

I introduced Dave to an acquatence and the next thing i fpund myself the best man at his last wedding.

I will close these thoughts by saying being with Dave was always an adventure, one that i will dearly miss for the rest of my life. I am glad to have known Dave and spend the time i had with him. We got to know each other and called each other brothers, and brother, Rest in Peace, know you are missed and loved.





Dave was a  wonderful and caring person always on his way to help another. 

When we met we hit it off instantly and became best friends, he looked out after me like i was his own and would stop anything he was doing to come to me when i called. 

Each morning i would call him on the way to work at 430am most of the time he was awake studying his Forex trading, but if he wasn't awake he would still get up and answer and chat with me until i arrived at my destination, Then at 3pm like clock work he would call and say tell me something good kid i would reply i made it through another day,  ( Dave's reply was)   
Where are we meeting i can be there in ten minuets and no mater where i was Dave would be there to greet me when i pulled up joking hey what took you so long kid. 

 I will never forget my best friend Dave Smith his jokes the way he touched my life the joy he brought to others and the great times we shared. 

Thank you Dave for being apart of my life I'm sure our paths will cross again.
