David H. Johnston, 69, passed away on November 24, 2024, after battling cancer. Originally from Nebraska, David moved to Bradenton, Florida in 2000. David’s favorite hobbies were playing golf, rooting for the Nebraska Huskers football team and watching every sport there was on TV. He was a dedicated, loving husband, stepfather and Papa to his grandchildren whom he adored.
David graduated from Kearney State College in Kearney, Nebraska and was a construction accountant for 30 years before retiring. After retiring as an accountant, David opened his own business, American Restoration Management, where he took great pride helping many people with their remodeling needs and desires.
David is survived by his loving wife Linda Johnston, 2 stepdaughters, Kayla Gregory (James), Melissa Mack, 5 grandchildren, Isaiah, Marley, Brandon, Hannah, Brady, 4 sisters, Terry Westengaard (Ron), Sonja Darveau (Joe), Linda Hoover (Greg), Doris Seaton and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Lewis Harlan Johnston and Emily Zoe Johnston as well as his brother-in-law James (Jim) Seaton.
A celebration of life is scheduled for all that would like to attend and share memories at Peridia Golf & Country Club, 4950 Peridia Blvd E., Bradenton, FL 34203, on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 11AM until 2 PM.
