Daniel was predeceased by his parents Daniel P. Ganley and Alice E. Whynock, sisters Alice Nagarya, Louella Salus, and Eleanor Sullivan and his brother, Francis Ganley.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jane M. (Corbett) Ganley, whom he married in Brighton, MA on May 11, 1957.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Susan M. Graffius and her husband Kevin of Leland, NC, Carol J. Hubbard and her husband Bruce of San Diego, CA and Donna M. Ganley-O'Brien and her husband Garvin of Vista, CA, his son Daniel P. Ganley, 3rd, of Bradenton, FL; his sister Shirley Baker of West Bridgewater, MA, his brother Andrew Ganley of Bradenton, FL, grandsons Jason Graffius of Raleigh, NC, Logan Graffius of Leland, NC, and granddaughters Bryce O'Brien and Kelsey O'Brien of Vista, CA, Tiffany McDuffie of San Diego, CA as well as many loving nieces and nephews and their children.
Dan was born in Brockton, MA on January 22, 1932 and graduated from Brockton High School in 1950. An Air Force Veteran, Dan served 4 years in Germany controlling military aircraft. Dan worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for 35 years as an Air Traffic Controller, Supervisor and Manager in Cleveland, OH, Logan Int'l Airport in Boston, MA, Brainard and Bradley Int'l Airports in CT, San Juan Int'l and Isla Verde Airports, Puerto Rico, and he was also the Air Traffic Representative at Key West Naval Base and Tower Manager at Key West Int'l Airport in FL.
Dan enjoyed his family and friends, playing piano, photography, music, boating, the company of many houseguests at all locations, cruise ship traveling, visits from – and to – his loving children and grandchildren, and using his computer.
A celebration of life and Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
