Charles Douglas York, better known as Doug, was born on July 13, 1961 in Dunedin, Florida to Audrey Saunders York and Edward Leroy York. He passed away surrounded by family August 31, 2022 at 61 years of age in Bradenton, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Larry Allen and Tony York. He is survived by his beloved wife Beth (Gray) York, sons Joshua, Jason and Nicholas, grandchildren Dylan, Taylor, Savannah and Charlotte and sister Darlene York Bruner.
Doug was the well-respected owner of Hometown Quality Construction Services in Bradenton, Florida. He attended The Source Church where he shared his singing and guitar playing talents. He also shared those talents with his Bible study home group and at family gatherings. Doug had a big kind and generous heart for family, friends and those in need. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and all around outdoorsman, Florida State University and Tampa Bay Bucs fan. He was a foodie that loved to travel and go on cruises. Doug was a passionate man that loved his wife and family with his whole heart! His smile and laughter were contagious. He would light up any room that he walked in. He loved Jesus and is with Him in heaven. He will be missed and loved forever!
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave E, Bradenton.
