He was a son of the late Vernon and Wanda Frost Hanks. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Griffith.
Mr. Hanks was a Christian for many years and was involved in mission work throughout the world.
He is also survived by his 2 daughters, Melissa Hanks, and Lori (Will) McCormack, both of Bradenton; 3 brothers, Kenneth Hanks, of TX, Vernon (Chris) Hanks, and Keith Hanks, both of Bradenton; 3 grandchildren, Logan, Taylor and Amelia McCormack.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Saturday, Dec. 31st at Samoset Church of God, in Bradenton.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11am following the visitation at the church by the Rev. Rufus E. Caraway and the Rev. Michael Howell. Interment will follow in Manasota Memorial Park.
