Audrey Janet Button

Audrey Button, 89, of Bradenton, FL (formerly Bridgeport, NY) passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Audrey cherished her time each morning with close friends over coffee and donuts. One of her hobbies was working in her yard. She loved growing various plants and enjoyed sharing them with her friends. Audrey was particularly proud of the pineapples she grew. She expressed her sense of humor in the comical T-shirts she wore.

Audrey had a big heart. Her door was always open for anyone who needed food or shelter. She fed anyone in the neighborhood whether they were children, adults, stray animals, or her friendly squirrels. She was known to many as “Grandma”.

Audrey is survived by her daughter, Nancy Goux of Young Harris, GA; her son, Paul Button of Bradenton; nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Button; son, James Button; and grandson, Randy Button.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
