Angel was born the oldest of ten brothers and sisters, was a husband, father of two, and grandfather of two; and he loved all of his family immensely. He lived a full life and loved learning: as a child he was a comic book collector and super hero enthusiast, and as an adult he continued to enjoy reading and studying a myriad of subjects. Angel studied martial arts as a youth under Sensei Joe Lopez, and earned his First Degree Black Belt in Goju Ryu. He graduated with a BS from the Long Island University and became a Physician’s Assistant. Angel saved many lives as a valuable member of the open heart surgery team at Blake Medical Hospital for five years, and then went on to work at James A. Haley V.A. Hospital. His dedicated care of veterans earned him over fifty commendations and a permanent plaque honoring his outstanding work. After retiring at age 62, Angel began teaching Physician Assistant students at South University. He was an avid audiophile, speaker builder, and wrote several articles on both topic. Angel was also a spiritual man and a practitioner of The Science of Mind and Qigong. Despite his busy life, he always found time and energy to help family, friends, and even strangers. Angel will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by loving Wife, Maria and sons Arjuna and Kris.
He is preceded in death by his mother Moncha, his father Jose, and his brother Miguel
