Daughter of the late Willam and Mary (Jones) Emery and sister of the late Helen T. Shiery.
Survived by daughter Cara Lynne Cotellese and son Christopher William Cotellese husband of wife Jennifer. Grandchildren: Steven Schollenberger ( deceased), Samantha Schollenberger, Sydney ( Schollenberger) Orwig, Alyssa Cotellese and Madison ( Cotellese) Lucas and great grandson Everett Marck Orwig.
Taught music for 25 years in the Twin Valley and Boyertown School Districts, and the last 14 years in the New Hanover Upper Frederick Elementary. Retired in 2001.
Graduated from Boyertown High School, Eastman School of Music of University of Rochester.
Member of the Melody Maids, marimba soloist of Pottstown Band, the Marimba Masters who appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. Also taught Kinder Choir at New Hanover Lutheran Church and member of Senior Choir there.
Member of MENC, PASR, and Boyertown Oley Retired Teachers. Founder and Director of SRC
( Sanatoga Ridge Community) Singers.
Performed widely as member of marimba and piano duo with colleague and dear friend Joan Johnson.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, November 27th at New Hanover Lutheran Church 2941 Lutheran Red. Gilbertsville, PA. 19525 at 11:00 AM.
Family and friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
Inurnment will be private at the convenence of the family.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to New Hanover Lutheran Church music program.
