Born in Strausstown. She was a daughter of the late Verna May (Hollenbach) and Charles W. Blatt.
She was last employed by the Colebrookdale Twp. Police Dept. as a secretary for over 20 years. Previously she worked as crossing guard for the township and Boyertown School District.
Shirley was the head of the craft department at the Center at Spring Street, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Shirley is survived by her children, Deborah wife of Richard L. Becker, Jr. of Boyertown. Ellen L. Neubauer of Boyertown. Charles W. husband of Tracey L. (Faithful) Neubauer of Boyertown. A brother, William C. Blatt of Boyertown. Daughter in law, Rhonda (Krupp) Neubauer of Boyertown. 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son Robert J. Neubauer who passed away in 2016.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at the Boyertown Community Park Pavilion 417 Madison St. Boyertown, PA. 19512 on Sunday October 17, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. In the event of inclement weather, the Celebration of Life will be held at the Friendship Hook & Ladder Fire Co. 10 Warwick St. Boyertown, Pa.
