Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Shirley J. (Dilks) Via and Harry B. McElroy III.
Scott was last employed by Zern’s Farmers Market working in Maintenance and Security. Previously he was a supervisor at Teen Challenge in Rehrersburg, PA.
He loved spending time with his family, fishing, the Redskins, NASCAR, and his precious cat Gypsy (aka baby). Scott will be remembered for his big heart, welcoming smile, contagious laugh and his good natured personality.
Scott is survived by his daughter, Amy L. Moyer companion of Gene R. Evans. A granddaughter, Amanda E. Mays at home and a step- granddaughter, Sophia T. Evans at home. Siblings, Judy A. Shaw of Boyertown. Debbie J. Zentner of Fleetwood and Harry B. “Butch” McElroy IV of Boyertown. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and their families.
A Memorial Service will be held October 21, 2018 at 6 pm at Full Gospel Church of Living Waters located on 20 S Washington Street in Boyertown. A cake and coffee reception will be held at the church following the service.
