Sarah M. Stauffer

Born in Oley, PA she was the daughter of the late Margaret B. (Bower) and William Shane.

Sarah was a 1938 graduate of Oley High School. A Member of Salem United Church of Christ, Oley. She was a social member of the Friendship Hook & Ladder Fire Company, Boyertown, Montgomery-Berks Senior Citizens Association, and a past member of the Boyertown Eastern Star. Sarah was a very active Ladies Guild at Salem United Church of Christ, Oley.

She was employed at the former Tung-Sol, Boyertown for 26 years retiring in 1982.

Sarah is survived by a son, Allen G., husband of Roxanne R. Stauffer of Boyertown; two daughters, Nancy L., wife of William C. Vendetti of Boyertown and Barbara A., wife of Roy F. Gehris of Bowers; a brother, Ernest, husband of Ruth Shane of Oley; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and two on the way. She was predeceased by a sister, Martha Hoch and a brother William Shane, Sr.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown. The Reverend Robert Witmyer will officiate.

A viewing will be Monday between 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Sarah’s name to Salem United Church of Christ Trust Fund, 307 Covered Bridge Road, Oley, PA 19547.
