Born in Pottstown. He was a son of the late Thelma V. (Weller) and Donald J. Sheidy.
He was the former owner and employee of Gilbertsville, and Fleetwood Auto Supply. Retired from NAPA of Pottstown. Also along with his brother he was the co-owner and operator of R&R Machine Shop.
Robert enjoyed racing and building engines for over 50 years. He was an avid bowler, camper, golfer and model train enthusiast. In his younger years he was an active hunter.
He is survived by his daughters Sheila L. wife of Daniel L. Gebhard, Sr. of Antietam and Wendy E. wife of Christopher D. Wojnar of Boyertown. Brother of Ronald J. husband of Joanne Sheidy of Boyertown. Grandchildren, Daniel L. Gebhard, Jr. of Kutztown, Paxton M. Wojnar and Nichole A. Gebhard both at home. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Princess.
Memorial Services will be held at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc. 111 North Reading Ave. Boyertown, PA. 19512 on Friday November 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
Family and friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00PM Thursday and 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Robert's name to the Funeral Home in care of the family to help defray the cost of the funeral services.
